Just another chilly night. The wood we had we was sub-par – it smoked like a cigar and left us smelling like walking campfires for the rest of the day.
That’s okay because today we officially made it to the Okanagan Valley! To celebrate, we went paddleboarding (my first time) in Kelowna on the Okanagan Lake. From the middle of the lake, there was complete silence, which left me with a sense of foreboding and peace at the same time. We both returned to the dock dry :).
Feeling adventurous, we did what the local fitness-enthusiasts do in Kelowna: hike Knox Mountain. The climb was good workout from the Apex, we could see the entire city and surrounding valley.
We also saw a family of deer on the way back down!
Further South, we found a lovely campsite called Lake Okanagan, which was appropriately-named, considering the proximity to the Lake.
We surprised ourselves and actually arrived at the site before dark!
