Busy morning. We were told to move our tent to a “legitimate” campsite (sorry…), which actually worked in our favour. Here’s the waterfront view from the “new” site:
It was then time for a wine tour up the West side route with West Kelowna wine tours. Who wouldn’t do a wine tour in the Okanangan… Melanie was a great guide and gave us a wonderful description of the region.
The tour was great – very personal considering we were the only two that signed up! We hit up:
Mission Hill:
Quail’s Gate: (for all you red-wine-drinkers, try their Foch!!!)
The Hatch: (very hip and original)
Volcanic Hills: (their Pinot Gris is worth a taste, according to Kate)
After the wine, we took it easy for the rest of the afternoon. To Sara: my hands were heavy :).
For dinner, I cooked fresh cod over the campfire along with a potato and a tomato. It was alright.
To cap off the day, we just watched the Sun set over the lake.
