Today was the day.
I finally made it to… wait for it …. TOFINO!!!
Wasting no time, I signed up for the first available surf lesson (with Westside Surf School).
After a refresher on technique from our instructor Nathan, I was up and surfing. Gnarly.
Get up there.
I celebrated surfing-success with Tede and Aude, a Belgian couple travelling in BC. If you’re in Tofino, get a fish taco from TacoFino. Do it.
Camped out next to Mackenzie Beach. The sunset was lovely and the sound of the crashing waves lulled me to sleep.
