Kevin, Kevin’s father Ton and I got back to work early in the morning, continuing to haul down the walls of the garage.
A quick yank from the truck brought the structure to its knees, calling for more clean-up.

After work, I went BACK to Goldstream Provincial Park, BUT this time I would be climbing Mount Finalyson. I was cautioned for making this decision…
I went up the South face, which is rocky and fun to navigate. There is also a face around the North side of the mountain, which is a softer path and easier to manage… just wanted to let you know for when you get you there.
On the summit were awesome views of the surrounding valley.
Although it’s not recommended, hiking a mountain alone is truly rewarding…
… it also gives you a lot of time to think.

On the way back home on the highway, I stopped at the Malahat Mountain viewpoint. It was cool.
When I got back to Shawnigan Lake, there was a delicious family dinner waiting for me. After dinner, Max and I went through multiplication tables and spelling drills… grad-three homework is so much fun!!
