After a hurried breakfast (cooked by me), I said goodbye to Manraj and departed.

I battled rush-hour traffic through downtown Vancouver and got lost near Coquitlam before finding my way onto the 1.

I re-stocked my supplies in Chilliwack with the essentials: Peanut butter and Febreze (a necessary purchase according to Manraj).

I continued up Highway 5, stopping in Kamloops for a much-needed coffee break Tim Horton’s.  The drive was enjoyable – I spent most of the time singing along to the Arkells.  Autumn is definitely upon us in BC.

Once evening fell, I decided it was time to find a place to sleep.  I came across the Salmon Arm Camping Resort in Salmon Arm, BC.

I cooked pasta with wild mushrooms and olive oil over the campfire.

Luckily, my neighbours were young and friendly and happy to have me over at their fire for wine and marshmallows.
